Press Release Summary = Thousands expected to attend largest community celebration in downtown Buffalo\'s JFK Park. Food, fun, rides, games and entertainment sponsored by Ellicott District Councilmember Brian C. Davis.
Press Release Body = Ellicott District Councilmember Brian C. Davis, in conjunction with the Community Action Organization of Erie County, Inc. will host the 5th annual Ellicott District Fun Day at John F. Kennedy Park (JFK Park), located at 114 Hickory Street off Clinton Street, on Saturday, August 11, 2005 from 12:00pm - 5:00pm.
This FREE event is for the community-at-large to come together in a day of fun to celebrate the District's diversity. Everyone is invited to an afternoon of FREE rides, food, and entertainment. Parents will be able to get ID Cards for their children and obtain health screenings for themselves. Children will also have an opportunity to tour the City of Buffalo SWAT Team and Fire Trucks.
Special thanks to the City of Buffalo Police and Fire Departments, Buffalo Police Reserves, Erie County Sheriff Department, Lamar Advertising, Kidzplay, Fun City Shows, Carl Anderson & Louie's Texas Red Hots, Elite Advertising, the National Urban League/Walgreens Wellness Tour, and to our many volunteers.
